New update!

Ethan has been a very busy boy!! He is very active and always exploring. He went to his 15 month check up and is doing great! He is in the 50% for height and 35% for weight. He also got 2 shots but took them really well.

He now says "no" all the time, dada, mama, up and uh-oh
When asked he can point to his feet, hands, tummy, nose and ears.
He also makes the sounds of a cow, puppy, kitty, rooster and a bear. He can also imitate what a fire truck sounds like.

Ethan has an obsession with books, we read somewhere around 15 book every night. Who knows how many he reads during the day!

We got an 8 in 1 little tikes climber from our neighbor that is outside. We are so grateful that they gave it to us for free.... a new one of these is $400!!

He has also likes to dance alot. It is so darn cute.

It has been a very busy summer (hence the lack of postings) We are going to visit Natha's brother in Chicago, we still have 3 weddings, we just had my step brother's wedding last weekend. We have torn down some trees, put up a retaining wall (or I should say Nathan put up a retaining wall) and we did some other little stuff around the house.

Another thing that has consumed my time (and my sanity) is that we have a problem with moles in our yard. They are driving me nuts! We have sprayed, poisoned, and now have traps set. But no such luck. We may have to hire someone to take care of those little buggers.

Even though we have been busy we have really enjoyed watching Ethan grow. He is such a great little boy. We will no dought be spending more time this summer going to the parks and swimming. He is such an outdoor kid!

I will try and post more frequently and add some more pictures!

Trip to the MN Zoo

We went to the MN zoo last weekend. A good time was had by all. Ethan had alot of fun pointing at all the animals and running around. He also got a stuffed sea otter, now named Ozzy the otter.

Ethan is also a master now at climbing on furniture. Makes mom and dad a little nervous! He can get up on things so fast.

The weather has been so nice, it is so hard getting Ethan to come inside. We have been doing some landscaping and planting flowers.
Ethan is now up to 22 lbs 1 oz. and growing like a weed. He is now on his 3rd hair cut at 13 months. I wish my hair grew that fast :)

Easter 2010

We started out Easter by going to church with Nathan's mom. Ethan really liked their band and was clapping along to the music. He behaved really well, hardly made a peep. We then headed over to her house for a ham dinner. After that we spent a relaxing evening at home. It was a good day :)

BIRTHDAY PARTY!!

We had a pizza party for Ethan's birthday. We had 30 people there! It was a great turn out. Ethan got so many wonderful gifts and clothes.
When it came to the cake he was not too sure about it, but he definatly liked the frosting.
By the time that was over we were all exhausted!

Ethan turns ONE!!!!

Can't believe that Ethan is already a "big" boy already! We took him into the doctor and he got three shots. The Dr. said he looks perfect :)
His stats are:
Length 76.5 (65%)
Weight 9.8 kg (31%)
Head 48.6 cm (95%) That must mean he is going to be really smart!

Trip back to Mankato

Nathan had a home show in Mankato, so we spent the whole weekend there. Ethan spent Friday night with Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Mike. On Sat we took Ethan to get pictures taken with real bunnies with his cousin Colton at Drummers nursery.
He then got to spend Sat night at the Hendrycks farm with my dad and Julie. There he got to pet the horses for the first time and got to ride on the tractor with papa. He really liked it.

We are getting prepared for the big party on Sat. We are having a party at Valentino's Pizza, mostly because there will be 30 people there!!! Way too many people for my house and way too messy to clean up!!

Can't believe he will be ONE on Friday! Ethan is walking about 4 steps or so at a time and then he decides thats enough and will get down and crawl. He has so much personality now, it is so fun to interact with him when he is being goofey. He really knows how to ham it up to get attention :)

We have also been busy with our kitchen. We tore down the wall inbetween the kitchen and dining room and put in an island with the help of my dad. The new countertops will hopefully be in this week. We also got new stainless stell appliances on Thur. I was lucky enough to get the MN rebate for $200 for the refrigerator.

Nathan is done with home shows until next spring. Which he is very happy about!! Those get to be very long weekends. The work for him is starting to pick up since it has been so nice out.

My job is going really well, nothing really new to report there. I am glad I have such a great job and benefits! We are really lucky!!
