7 months

Ethan has just turned 7 months. Time is flying!
He is doing really well! He sits up on his own pretty good now. He is starting to try and crawl. He can get up on all fours and then he either goes backwards or if he tries to go forward he goes back to his tummy. I think he will be fully crawling shortly. If we put him on the floor, he will roll from one side of the room and back again. He is a mover!
His new "trick" is that he likes to pull his socks off his feet when he puts them in his mouth.

I am still giving him Gerber's baby food. I have put off making my own baby food until I am sure that I am healthy again. I had mono for the last couple of weeks. So I am thinking I will start in another week or two.

Today his daycare had their Halloween party, so everyone brought their costumes. Sandy said that Ethan really likes to chew on a girl, Summer's princess outfit. She kept saying that Ethan keeps getting my dress wet. Too cute.
Last weekend, I took Ethan back to Mankato and he took pictures with his cousin Colton in their Halloween costumes. I think he has only had to put on his monkey costume 9 times before Halloween has even come :o)

So far he is eating rice cereal applesauce, bananas, avocado, peas, carrots green beans, sweet potatoes, and prunes. He LOVES prunes! Just like I used to when I was a baby.

Here are some pictures of him eating recently........it is so fun when I put a little extra food on his tray, he loves to get messy and see what he can get into.

6 months

Ethan has turned the big 6 months! He is now 25 1/5 inches tall and weighs 17 lbs 10 oz.
He is now eating baby food. He is eating applesauce, bananas, sweet potatoes and carrots.
We did a family photo shoot and his 6 month photos along with some Halloween pictures. He is going to be a little monkey. I will post as soon as I have them.
Ethan has done 2 over nights with Grandma Fran. Which was thankfully easier than I thought it would be. He is also going to stay with Grandma Kathy next week for 4 whole days when we go to Arizona for a wedding. Now that is going to be hard. But I know he will be having a blast and in good hands.
Ethan also has his first 2 bottom teeth! He was great through the whole thing. He was never fussy and it didn't seem to bother him, which we are grateful for.
What else....not much else new is going on. My job is going great and Nathan is keeping busy with Dog Watch. Even in this economy, DogWatch is still growing and doing better that years previous.

Almost 5 months!

Ethan will be 5 months in 3 more days, I can't believe it! He is doing so well, he is turning into quite the little chatter box. He is up to 17 lbs now, and getting so big.
We did not have daycare on Thur or Fri, so Grandma Fran watched him Thur and Grandma Kathy and Great Grandma Shirlee came from Mankato Thur night and watched him on Fri. Ethan got alot of extra love and attention over the last few days!
On Sat My mom, grandma, Ethan and I went to Owatonna for the Steele County Fair. It was such nice day to go. Ethan really enjoyed it, he did so well. We also got to see Nathan at his Dogwatch booth there.
I have talked to the doctor about starting Ethan on cereal and fruits and veggies. But they really do not want to see babies start cereal until 6 months old. I guess there is a higher chance of allergies and it can promote digestive problems if you start too soon. So I guess we will hold off for another month.
