27 Weeks

Here is the lastest baby bump picture, not sure if you can really just call it a "bump" anymore, it's getting pretty big.

Nathan and I met with Dr. Boldt and she said that I failed the blood glucose test by 1 point, so I had to go back and do a 3 hour test. The test came back great, not even close to the upper normals. The reason the first test was so high is because they did not tell me to fast for that test and I had breakfast right before the test. So no gestational diabetes for me :)

We go back again for a check up in 3 weeks. Everything has been going great, the baby has been moving more and more each day.

We went to Target today to register for the baby shower. Wow, was that a good time....ha. So many things to choose from, not sure what we REALLY need.

Just an update.....

Nathan and I have been pretty busy the last few days. Chris Holter (who was a groomsman in our wedding) lost his wife to brain cancer on January 1st. The wake was Monday and the funeral was yesterday. Very sad when someone so young passes. Makes you realize how short life is and to keep in mind how good you really have things in life.

I have a Dr. appt on Friday to check in and do a blood gluclose test. I will post a new picture on the next blog with the results.

Nathan and I have a trip planned to Texas the first week in Feb and got the ok from the Dr. to go. Probably the last big trip for awhile.........

I also got a great new job. I am going to be working in the Heart Rythm Services department in the cardiac cath lab at Mayo Clinic. I start on January 19th, and can't wait. I have been waiting for an opportunity like this for quite awhile.

24 week check up

Nathan and I saw Dr. Boldt again today for a routine check up. Everything is going as well as it could. So far I have gained a total of 10 pounds, and my "bump" is measuring right where is should be. So the next appointment is in a month, at tht time they will also do a glucose test to see if I have gestational diabetes, but she does not think that I am a risk factor for it. Hope everyone has a GREAT Christmas!

Nathan can feel the baby!!

Well I spoke too soon in my last blog, because the very next night Nathan was able to feel the baby kick. He felt him a few times actually. So that was really fun for him.

Nothing really new happening, just giving a quick update.
We had a great Thanksgiving this year. During the day we were at the Dormody's and in the evening we headed over to Fran's house, along with Ryan and Jamie who were in town from the Chicago area. Then we ended Thanksgiving on Sunday at Julie's parents place. I got to see my nephew Colton who has grown alot since the last time I saw him. He is already walking and turns 1 on Christmas Eve.
We are having Colton's birthday party on the 13th, and then we are going back to Mankato on the 23rd-35th for all the Christmas festivities.
The baby boy is moving more and more each day, Nathan still cannot feel him though. Sometime it amazes me that he cannot feel him, because he gets in some prety good kicks once in awhile.
My grandma Shirlee has decided to buy us a stroller and my mom is getting us a glider for Christmas, so I have been looking into which ones will work for us. I had no idea that there could be so many strollers!
Well I better run, I will post again after our OB visit on Dec 23rd!

Ultrasound Results

Nathan and I had the big ultrasound today. The baby is actually measurig 21 weeks instead of 20 weeks. And the ultrasound tech confirmed again that it is a boy.
Everything looked and measured normal, which was great to hear!
I have finally gained some weight, I have gained a total of 7 pounds.
We go back on Dec 23 for a routine check up.
