Halloween 2010

As you can see Ethan was a cow for Halloween. We did not trick or treat, we stayed home where it was warm and handed out candy. We will venture out next year. Ethan looked so cute, but did not care for the hat portion of the costume!

There has been lots going on lately....busy busy busy!!
Ethan got to visit Santa. Every time he sees a Santa he says Ho Ho Ho. So cute. He actually walked right up to him and sat on his lap. We got some good pictures. We also went to Grandpa Stuarts house and had some family photos taken for our Christmas cards. Ethan was not very cooperative but we managed a few good shots.

I have an appointment next week to see the OB doctor. I am at 15 weeks already! At this appt we will schedule the BIG ultrasound, sometime mid to late January! So excited to find out what he/she is. It would be nice to have another boy, since we have all boy stuff. But it would be so fun to have a little girl as well. But we will be happy with anything as long as he/she is healthy of course.

As you can tell by Ethan's new picture, he is going to be a big brother! We found out not too long ago and couldn't keep the secret any longer :)We are due June 14th (my birthday!)

Ethan has been growing so fast lately it's amazing. He is now up to a whopping 25 lbs. And with our latest news, his new favorite word is baby.
He has also learned some more recently including phone, keys, more, hot, up, down and out. He also like to talk to the dog and say dog down.

I am planning on doing a photo shoot with him outside while it's still nice this week.

Two weekends ago Grandma Kathy and Great Grandma Shirlee came to visit and we went to an apple orchard and pumpkin patch. They stayed overnight, so Nathan and I could have a date night.

Last weekend we all went to Mankato for Nathan's Grandparents 65th wedding anniversary and after that we went to my dad's and Ethan got to ride in the combine.

Thats all for now, time to make supper :o)

18 MONTHS!!

Today Ethan is 18 months already!

He has been so great, we have such a blast with him everyday.
This is what he has been up to lately for those of you who have not seen him recently:

We have been doing outdoor activites while we can. We have gone to apple orchards, camping up north, parks, next weekend we are going to Oxbow petting zoo. We have also been going to the library every Saturday, he loves new book, especially ones about animals, trucks and tractors.

He is starting to say alot more words now.
He can say mama, dada, tractor, truck, hello, bye bye, shoe, meow, moo, dog, up and of course no.
He is also starting to sing some of the abc's ( I will have to post a video of it, it so cute)

Ethan is going to be a cow for Halloween. We put it on him the other day to make sure it fit, and I could not stop giggling because it is so stinking cute.

We have been very lucky as well with all the rain that we have gotten, we have had NO rain in our basement. Th sump pump has not even had to turn on.

Better run, someone is done with breakfast and wants to play!

New update!

Ethan has been a very busy boy!! He is very active and always exploring. He went to his 15 month check up and is doing great! He is in the 50% for height and 35% for weight. He also got 2 shots but took them really well.

He now says "no" all the time, dada, mama, up and uh-oh
When asked he can point to his feet, hands, tummy, nose and ears.
He also makes the sounds of a cow, puppy, kitty, rooster and a bear. He can also imitate what a fire truck sounds like.

Ethan has an obsession with books, we read somewhere around 15 book every night. Who knows how many he reads during the day!

We got an 8 in 1 little tikes climber from our neighbor that is outside. We are so grateful that they gave it to us for free.... a new one of these is $400!!

He has also likes to dance alot. It is so darn cute.

It has been a very busy summer (hence the lack of postings) We are going to visit Natha's brother in Chicago, we still have 3 weddings, we just had my step brother's wedding last weekend. We have torn down some trees, put up a retaining wall (or I should say Nathan put up a retaining wall) and we did some other little stuff around the house.

Another thing that has consumed my time (and my sanity) is that we have a problem with moles in our yard. They are driving me nuts! We have sprayed, poisoned, and now have traps set. But no such luck. We may have to hire someone to take care of those little buggers.

Even though we have been busy we have really enjoyed watching Ethan grow. He is such a great little boy. We will no dought be spending more time this summer going to the parks and swimming. He is such an outdoor kid!

I will try and post more frequently and add some more pictures!
